🚨 #NHS performance stats are out today. Our @Quality_Watch team will be unpacking this in detail later, but here are some of the major updates in the meantime... 👇

🆕 blog out today for @Quality_Watch One of my biggest concerns is for those people with more complex and severe needs who are stuck amongst the ‘avalanche’ of referrals, unable to get the critical support they need 💭

📈 In December 2023, there were 172,022 patients with an open referral for suspected autism – the highest number ever reported. Even when adjusted for the increase in providers submitting information, this is at least a five-fold increase since 2019.

"The public has not fallen out of love with the idea of a publicly-funded, free at the point of use NHS, but they are losing confidence that it will support them and their loved ones in the best possible way when they need it," says @JessieSMorris nuffieldtrust.org.uk/news-item/publ…

.@Thea_Stein says you can make pretty much any structure work with the right people and behaviours. NHS structures *are* complex but restructuring is not the answer. Quite right, there will never be a perfect structure.#NTSummit
