Release all political prisoners, end the violence and return the power to National Unity Government of Myanmar is the only way to prevent great civil war which will end in genocide

By inviting Myanmar's dictator to their meeting, @ASEAN is rejecting the voices of the #Myanmar people. #ASEAN--stop recognizing the SAC. They are a genocidal government. They will cause major environmental damage that will impact the entire the region. #ASEANrejectSAC

Today, at the end of Thingyan on the eve of Myanmar’s new year, we are proud to announce the formation of a new National Unity Government and the dawn of a new era for the people of Myanmar. For the first time in our history, Myanmar has a unity government.

Video footage of Junta troops yelling “We want at least 5 people, ONLY DEAD”. This is an evidence of how military terrorists are killing innocent civilians on purpose. NUG ASSEMBLE #Apr17Coup #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

I saw this image earlier today and can't stop thinking about it. So many young lives have been lost in Myanmar. Many of the 702 victims are young teenagers. But they're still on the streets and on social media protesting the military and begging for stronger international action.

Very striking that I am being absolutely inundated with positive, heartfelt messages from people in Myanmar, while a handful of white male academics/ commentators (none of them in the country) write endless screeds about how offensive my trip is to the people of Myanmar 🤔

To the people of #Myanmar- we couldn’t seek you out while we were in your country. Please know that we heard your voices, we saw your pain and your courage and we will do everything we can to do justice to your story. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you for my Easter egg. This was made by a 15 year old girl in Myanmar who has been forced into leaving Yangon to hide from the junta. Currently, she must walk to the closest mall to get internet to read information and chat with friends. #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar

Many have been asking about the future of internet connection in Myanmar. Access to public WiFi has been shutdown countrywide as of 6pm local time. Mobile internet is also down. Home broadband/WiFi will continue to be shutdown from 1am to at least 630am #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
