There was no “slow” international response to the slaughter of Bosnian Muslims. The international community was quick to place Bosnia under sanctions and then watched as we were hunted, tortured, raped and killed for nearly 4 years.
Growing up in post-war Bosnia, it became the norm to meet kids who were orphaned. Sometimes they lost one parent, sometimes it was both. Most of my friends lost someone and I was “the lucky one”. The way this enrages me with pain and sadness that we would dare allow this again.
