I'm at cheese night. The large middle aged bloke who announced he wouldn't play for a German manager, doesn't appear to have any scruples with continental cheese.

Listening to him as Gordon Shappey in Cabin Pressure, just yesterday. A small role, but a memorable performance. theguardian.com/stage/2024/nov…

Bloke buying a ticket on the bus has just called the driver "fella". No! Only "mate" or "pal" are considered acceptable.

Bloke on bus with a proper Chrissy Waddle mullet. The world doesn't need to know this, but it's made me smile.

Inviting an independent and impartial mediator to help with a workplace dispute does not need to be intimidating and is entirely confidential. Find out more information here: 👉 acas.org.uk/mediation

An interesting read in today's @guardian, especially for anyone considering sacking it all off and doing something else. theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2…

HR Magazine - Employers must prevent work-related stress, HSE says hrmagazine.co.uk/content/news/e…

Welcome break from discussions about world politics at Duncan Edwards leisure centre this morning. Enjoyable to take a shower listening to updates on someone's operation and their take on Dudley council's parking policy.

Reposting this while signed off...with stress.

Back working on the paving slabs today. A low octane type version of World's strongest man as I struggled to move them, whilst receiving unsolicited career advice from my father in law.

"No more poor management or wasteful spending". Is this really implying there will be tighter regulation of the sector?

We're fixing the foundations of higher education to deliver change for students.

Genuinely baffled as to the basis of the claim here. If it's about the lack of alternative provision, then the level of the fee (with or without VAT) is immaterial. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Been moving paving slabs this morning, like a young Cliff Lazarenko. Understand now why the big lad was quite so thirsty.

There's a queue at the petrol station. Has fuel duty gone up? Not been following; moving a greenhouse this morning. Any news on second greenhouse owners?

Our latest @acasorguk report which looks at managers' experiences of handling formal procedure is out today. Managers not only need more training and support but smarter procedures that help them to resolve issues rather than resort to formal process. acas.org.uk/research-and-c…
