“Consensus changing” chemical biology at its finest, a new approach to modulating gene control. Neormorphic covalent ligands redirect the intently studied FOXA1 transcription factor, and instruct on pioneering functionality. A first TF-DNA glue? Way to go @Michael_A_Erb and Ben…

Together with the Cravatt group, we have a new manuscript out reporting the chemoproteomic discovery of covalent FOXA1 ligands that bind its DNA-binding domain, corrupt its motif preferences, and redistribute it on the genome. 1/11 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited to share that our paper is out in @CellCellPress! We "lnc" Xist ribonuceloproteins (RNPs) to the greater prevalence of autoimmune diseases in biological females. A wonderful multi-institutional collaboration with @HowardYChang and many others! cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

Delighted to be honored by the King Faisal Prize. I am deeply grateful for all my mentors, collaborators, supporters, and especially lab members former and present. tinyurl.com/yssd6u8b

Thrilled to share our paper in @NatureGenet! Cancer cells often amplify oncogenes outside chromosomes. We can now isolate and profile these large circular extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) molecules using a method called CRISPR-CATCH. 1/10 nature.com/articles/s4158…

Reactivation of latent HHV-6 in CAR-T cells. Terrific work by @CalebLareau in a close collaboration with many academic and industry colleagues. We hope this finding will help support the continued development of safe and effective cell therapies.

Encephalitis caused by human herpesvirus 6 has been repeatedly observed in CAR-T cell case studies and clinical trials. In a new work with @satpathology, we make the surprising observation that the cell therapy itself may be the source of lytic virus. biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 1/n

Immunotherapies are only as effective as their targets. Excited to share the launch of Cartography Bio, focused on finding safe and effective antigens for every cancer patient. Wonderful to work with founders @krparker @HowardYChang @MaxMumbach @CalebLareau @JeffreyVerboon

We’re excited to officially launch Cartography Biosciences today with $57M in initial financing. With this support, we will create a smarter roadmap for #cancer immunotherapies with our precision antigen expression atlas. 🧵 #Oncology #MedTwitter businesswire.com/news/home/2022…
