Teachers should be making 75-85% of decisions in the school. They are the experts in instruction. Administrators should be making decisions on advice from teachers and they should be in a support/resource acquisition roll.
One of the biggest issues in education… The people that make decisions for what is best for students are NOT teachers. Nor are teachers even asked.

To those who say it’s all about the kids. Just remember the students learn in an environment created by the teacher. A teacher who is supported, encouraged and appreciated will create a more positive and dynamic learning environment than a teacher who is not supported that way.
