Spare a moment to remember that this is #LincolnAlexanderDay in Canada. "Linc" was born 99 years ago today. He was our 1st Black MP, cabinet minister, and Ont. lieutenant-governor. And beyond that, a thoroughly fabulous guy. A true pioneer from the @cityofhamilton #BlackHistory

2020 was the hottest year in the global temperature record, going back 140 years. 2020 statistically tied with the previous record holder, 2016 - a year when El Niño, a cyclical climate pattern, gave temperatures an above average boost.

On Dec. 6th, 1989, a man opened fire at Ecole Polytechnique, an engineering school in Montreal. He killed 14 women while “fighting feminism” before killing himself. We commemorate this event as a reminder that gender equality is not an ailment, it’s a right. #MontrealMassacre

We must act now to ensure access to communication, social protection support, inclusive teleworking policies, and tackle stigma and stereotypes. Make every one count in the #COVID19 crisis says actor and disability rights activist @MarleeMatlin bit.ly/2SWpHnn
