saw someone on tiktok who says she sets herself an alarm at 3AM so she can have the satisfaction of turning it off and going right back to sleep. then her regular alarm goes off at 7am. sooo many ways to be a person arent there

Agreed! Especially in rush hour with slow moving traffic and okay weather. People have forgotten how to drive.

There have been at least five crashes on the M1/M2/Westlink/Sydenham Bp close to Belfast in the last five days alone. They cause significant gridlock. Yet there is essentially no reason for these *ever* to happen.

The condescending attitude toward drivers instead of Stormont who are responsible for extremely poor public transport is really getting on my nerves. If other countries like Germany can have regular, reliable inexpensive public transport then so should we.

#BelfastTraffic: Too many people living in this area are driving into Belfast City Centre. This is not about commuters coming in from Fermanagh and Tyrone.

No issue when no Bike lanes and Bus lanes so i wonder what they did ?

You’d be quicker seeing pigs fly than me cycling 10 miles to work each morning

Had to add my tuppence to this debate earlier, fair play for Colin Woods finally giving some rationale to all the chaos. Still, leadership involves admitting you get things wrong, and DfI have got this wrong imo. The Capacity issue has been exacerbated by extensive works, bad…

Head of Traffic at DFI asks people to work from home one day per week , or use public transport - to alleviate traffic chaos in Belfast City Centre . On Nolan Now

My take on a #Belfast City Traffic solution…. DISCUSS 👇 ⁃Open bus lanes at peak times ⁃Get traffic flowing again - Remove the stigma ⁃Invest properly in public transport including private/public taxis (easier said i know..) ⁃Make all non car transport better, very…

No that’s a great idea!!

Reduce gridlock by ‘temporarily combining the cycle and bus lanes at Dublin Rd, to create an extra traffic lane’. Thanks lads! Remove one of the few protected cycle lanes in #Belfast There are just a total 2 miles 5/6

I know people in ni love their cars and "you are the traffic etc etc" but public transport is terrible atm as well. This isn't normal for a city and the traffic crisis is a problem. Crazy that we're supposed to just put up with this.

Approx 60 people waiting on a bus at Dublin Road. Not great tbh. There are people behind me too. @Translink_NI

Cars are not the problem. There hasn't been a massive increase in the amount of cars on the road. Cycle lanes and bus lanes have increased tho.

Guys, I’ve just reached the end of my halogen lightbulb stack. What’s going to give me the most like the old light bulbs in terms of light, what’s the safest light bulb (ie not fluorescent!) and what’s not going to trigger my migraines?

And all of us drivers are made to feel guilty and to get out of our cars.....to join a bus queue with 60 people in it!! Having a laugh.....at all our expense...

Hannah Mathers Reposted

People want to go about their business when it suits them not when it suits bus timetables that are rarely on time.

Hannah Mathers Reposted

The Glider is a prime example of translink failures. Takes longer than old buses and certainly longer than black taxis. Plus full of wee rats

Hannah Mathers Reposted

Another factor is introducing a Glider bus system that can't manoeuvre 90 degree junctions in heavy traffic and block several lanes in the process whilst carrying TWO passengers. Traffic lights at House of Frazers is one example. Several occasions in non Christmas times.
