The biggest double standard in sports isn’t equal pay: it’s potential vs production. Men’s sports are judged on their potential. Women’s sports are judged by where they are today. (1/10)

Love this piece. Our All-Star follow-along with Kelsey is one of my favorite things we did this year, and I love that more fans are hearing her story.

This is a smart move. Unrivaled knows where it's fans are (TV + online), and it's going all in on creating the best content vs in-person experience

Unrivaled won't play in the Kaseya Center or a college gym. The league is making its own facility. The focus is on the players, with rooms for training, child care, and making content. Only about 850 people can fit inside, but millions can watch on TNT. frontofficesports.com/unrivaled-miam…

It’s tempting to get fancy when giving advice but this is honestly the best advice I can give: 1) go for it, 2) be stubborn @Entrepreneur

The new WNBA Portland franchise has 7,500 season ticket deposits already — and they don’t even start playing until 2026.

.@WashSpirit owner Michele Kang talks about how important it is to invest in more than just the team:

New WSL TV deal is $84.5 million over 5 years. For context, the NWSL signed a 4-year, $240 million deal last November. I think it’s important to celebrate the wins. But that shouldn’t stop us from asking — should this have been more?

BREAKING: Sky remains the home of the Women’s Super League in a landmark new five-year deal from the 2025/26 season 🚨 📈 Nearly 90% of all WSL matches to be on Sky Sports ⚽ Over three times more games, with 78 fixtures broadcast exclusively

This year’s Ballon d'Or ceremony was held during a women’s international window (again). Only 8 of the 30 women shortlisted could make it. Emma Hayes, who won COTY, also had to skip. If the organizers want us to think they care about women’s football, this has to change.

This is a conversation we have internally all the time at JWS: how do we productively push the space beyond strictly “celebratory” coverage? Loved getting to hear @sammymewy's insight and perspective.

Super proud of this series! Thank you @AbbyWambach for the honesty and vulnerability 💜
