The first year of change will always bring growing pains. Teams who have invested in their clubs top to bottom, with a clear sense of direction are leading the way. The new CBA has a mandate for teams to continue spending. The tide has risen, the boats will follow.
I think it was gonna be tough for any of the teams who finished 6-10 on the NWSL table to put up a fight against Orlando. Ultimately I think it’ll be good to keep the playoffs at 8, especially as the league continues to expand. Top four isn’t the ceiling for this league!
