Where’s all this “energy” for Black and Indigenous lives? Clean drinking water? Black mental health? Homelessness? poverty? South Asian farmers? Muslim women and girls? I’m noticing a pattern here… one that I find very unsettling.

January 27 marks the international Holocaust Remembrance Day. Though this day is significant because it celebrates the liberation of the Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau, we should always remember and commemorate the lives lost due to the Holocaust.

Bring your own unique talents to the causes and initiatives you care about, you don't have to be anyone you're not. Who you are is enough + plays a specific role. You'll burn out much faster pretending, than doing what you love and/or what you're naturally good at :)
