There’s a segment of American soccer fan who simply do not like or accept MLS. Mostly it’s because MLS has done things differently. That makes them feel insecure and uncomfortable. So they look to discredit, deride, or dismiss it. Some people just want to watch the world burn.
I have never seen non-MLS fans so rabid about tearing apart the season attendance numbers and trying to discredit the league (even saying the league published the global chart as a PR piece). More games/teams doesn’t mean fans in seats. Funny how it has some circles rattled.
