I’m sure Matt Gaetz, whose been such a friend to GOP leadership in the past, resigned effectively immediately to make Speaker Johnson’s life easier, not to avoid the consequences of his potentially sleeping with a 17 year old girl he trafficked across state lines.

One of the most important dynamics to consider is that the Senate and House are now filled with pro-Trump lawmakers. Very, very different from 2017 when he took office. These people were elected running with Trump and are not skeptics. a much different governing dynamic
