This is how our traditional Ewe Kente looks like. Let’s start and say that we Ewes call it in our native tongue “Kete” not “Kente.” “Ke” which means “Open” and “Te” which means “Close.” It depicts the process in making the cloth that gives it its name Kete.

The #66thindependenceday celebration will be held in the Volta Region. Adaklu to be precise. Even if an Ewe Proverbial symbol ( #EʋeDzesi ) is not used in the logo, anything symbolizing Eʋe should feature in the logo. We hope the artist working on the logo is an open minded and

Beautiful. As an Ewe Creative, when will you start diversifying your use of Ghanaian symbols in your works? Makafui is a very talented guy helping to combat plastic waste by creating fascinating pieces from plastics. You should check him out. #GlobalCitizenFestival #SDG

The theme for this year’s @StemFestival the innovations component of the @NSMQGhana program was on recycling and I have been working with senior and junior high school students to innovate from waste at @acitygh @AmeyawDebrah @caroline4real @KobbyKyei_ @UNDPGhana @AbsaGhana

This also shows the little to know level of research done at these state institutions such as Centre for National Culture and by visual artistes. Everyone does something anyhow anyway to get the money. Just following the trend. Copy and pasting. Nothing innovative, mindblowing.

This work was supposedly commissioned by the @Volta_cnc And the work features non-ewe symbols. They follow me here on twitter. It is high time other stakeholders take active participation in the promotion and education of and on the #Dzesiwo.I can't do it alone. @togbeafedexiv

This is terrible and unacceptable. We are Ewes, not Akans.

The Battle of Atakpame, fought between our relatives the Ewe/Fon people of Dahomey and Yoruba people. (Oyo Empire) against the Ashanti and their Akan allies. The battle ended in a crushing defeat for the Ashanti people who were planning to invade the Dahomey Kingdom.

Kindly shed more light on the battle of Atakpame

About my wish in my last post, the owner of @ewe_kente responded that he has made exhibitions at the @ghana_museums on several occasions and they have an idea of the #Dzesiwo. Vindicated partly. Lol. But why are they not promoting the Ewe symbols?Well. Who are the "they"? US.

You forgot to add that in 1986 he oversaw a prisoner exchange of Spymaster Michael Susudis (Rawlings’ cousin) and the 9 Ghanaian CIA spies Susudis had uncovered. It became an intelligence victory for Africa, and Ghana was celebrated for such dislodging the CIA’s top apparatus.
