This is what people should be on fire about. This should unite all of us. I would put aside my differences for a day, lock arms with fellow humans and march on this CEO’s house.
zoom call from a ceo who cancelled all employee bonuses but took a $6.4 million bonus herself
His name is #RalphYarl and I’m sick and tired of this feeling…my heart completely broke when I learned this precious 16-year-old, who accidentally rang the door of the wrong address in an attempt to pick up his siblings, was shot in the head… (1/3)
Never forget. Rep. Thomas Massie, who represents Louisville, Kentucky, used this photo as his Christmas card in 2021. The fetishization of weapons of mass destruction is something we don’t need in our members of Congress. Full stop.
Bob Marley was once asked if there was a perfect woman. He replies: Who cares about perfection? Even the moon is not perfect, it is full of craters. The sea is incredibly beautiful but salty and dark in the depths. The sky is always infinite, but often cloudy. So, everything that…

Right now, someone making $160,000/year pays the same amount into Social Security as someone making $16,000,000,000. That doesn’t make ANY sense. By raising the cap on payroll taxes for the wealthy, we can increase Social Security by $200/month and fund the program through 2095.
Let’s ban assault weapons again.
For the record: cops aren’t supposed to kill guilty people either.
Seeing how much the world accepts that it’s impossible to move on after watching CPR really makes me think about how we (medical professionals, especially those who work in Emergency departments) are expected to just move on immediately after a code.
“What’s on your mind?” My mind: it’s CORN. A big lump with knobs. It has the juice (Iᴛ ʜᴀs ᴛʜᴇ ᴊᴜɪᴄᴇ)
highly recommend adopting two kittens at once instead of one, they’ll be best buds 🥹
It costs ~$70 to produce a year’s supply of insulin. Yet, the average annual cost of insulin went from $2,864 in 2012 to $5,705 in 2016 to $12,000 in 2022. That’s a 17,142% markup.😳 That isn’t inflation. It isn’t supply chain issues. It is 100% corporate greed. #MakeInsulinFree
Today 43 Republicans voted to keep insulin at $1200/mo instead of $35. Tomorrow every Republican will ask you to be outraged that gas is $5 instead of $3. In the GOP world, $1200 for life saving insulin in fair play but $5 for gas is an outrage. Vote them all out.
Last year I met with a mother holding her diabetic toddler in her lap. She had one ask — that the lifesaving insulin she needs to keep her daughter alive not cost her over $400 a month. Shame on all the Republican senators that just blocked the $35 a month cap for insulin.
Nothing is as pure as the nail salon employees recognizing me after 6 plus years of not coming to this location and saying “oh my gosh you’re mendys daughter aren’t you, long time no see!!”
