I received the final proofs for my forthcoming #book with @OUPHistory Hopefully, it will be an exciting read for anyone interested in #German and #British #politics in the 20th century, the transformation during the #FirstWorldWar, and government in times of exceptional crisis.

Accidentally zapped to the 1942 film 'In Which We Serve' on BBC2 just now. It reminded me straightaway of @WWIIadvertising's legendary 'WW2 in British Films' module at @LJMUhistory I actually wonder whether it featured in the module?

When they tried something like this after WWI, Basil Thomson - a self-promoting writer of detective novels - ended up in charge of a new umbrella department. Didn't go well.
Amen, etc!
What nonsense. Proof? Online marking is anonymous - students' names are redacted. What's more, in History at least, top grades can - and do - go to students from Left or Right; marks depends upon use of evidence, interpretation, clarity of argument, &c. &c.
