Today is a huge win for our field: #POTS, #MCAS and #MECFS are listed as pathophysiologic mechanisms of #LongCovid in the @theNASEM report on Long Covid definition. Many people and organizations worked tirelessly to make this happen, not only since the pandemic, but for decades…

My next #CovidVaccine might just be inhaled for better protection.

Robust mucosal immunity vs Covid, which can achieved by an inhalation vaccine (IT below), in non-human primates, provided near complete protection for blocking infections, greatly exceeding that of shots. nature.com/articles/s4158… @BarouchLab

Many people with #dysautonomia are a hard stick even for the most experienced infusion nurses. We’d love to see this technology in all infusion centers.

This vein visualization technology uses near-infrared light, which is absorbed by blood but reflected by the surrounding tissue, to locate veins up to 15mm deep, and then projects the results back on the skin.

Prior-auths are a menace. Doing them right and on time and between peers can make this at least a bit better.

This is so true of many invisible and chronic, complex conditions.

Despite challenging symptoms, Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and hypermobility spectrum disorders can often be invisible conditions, with a multitude of issues often going on inside. You never know what someone is going through. #InvisibleDisabilitiesWeek #InvisibleIllness

Autonomic neuropathy can cause symptoms like fatigue, cognitive impairment, GI dysmotility, etc. Unfortunately, many #dysautonomia patients are never tested for autonomic neuropathy. We are trying to change that through improved clinician education!
