I'd like to highlight a couple notable election-related alerts from @CISAgov & @FBI this week, put in context some recent news, & frame my main areas of concern for threats to the 2022 election (NB: it's not just "Midterms", as there are statewide elections).

I am a teacher, a former FBI agent, and former CIA officer. NO I do not want to be armed and yes I have had a significant amount of training in firearms and feel comfortable around them. Using a firearm is not in the teaching job description, nor should I be. Period.
I've received about a dozen emails from teachers, all saying the idea of arming them for classroom defense is delusional. Obviously this is a self-selected group, but has anyone asked whether, nationally, teachers want to be armed, or do they only want to teach?
