The Centennial Trail will be closed between the Mirabeau Park and Islands Trailhead beginning Oct. 21. A utility line that runs under the trail has failed in this area, requiring emergency repair work. The repair work and repaving are expected to be completed by Nov. 9.

Boaters, enjoy a weekend mooring at Tolmie State Park! Its buoys close Monday for a @WaDNR project to remove artificial reefs made of tires. If you're boating on South Sound or Case Inlet this month, please give the barges a 300-yard berth. Learn more: loom.ly/zPGbbT4

West Beach at Deception Pass will close to vehicle access for maintenance and repair work on Mon., Oct. 14. Only pedestrians will be able to access this area. The area is expected to reopen Thurs., Oct. 17. We appreciate your patience during this temporary closure.

Parts of Nisqually State Park close this month until next summer for a project to restore forest health to areas that used to be tree farms. The public can attend an open house Oct. 15, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., in the park's main parking lot: loom.ly/FWnRRvs ⚠️

The Cornet Bay boat ramp at Deception Pass will close Sunday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. to replace a power line. It is expected to reopen Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 a.m. We appreciate your patience with the temporary closure as we work to restore services to Cornet Bay.

The Mount St. Helens Visitor Center will be closed from Sept. 30, 2024, to mid-May 2025 for exhibit updates. It's expected to reopen in time for the 45th eruption anniversary on May 18, 2025. Don't miss the final event on Sept. 29 ➡️ loom.ly/32k0UMQ.

The road to Mount Pilchuck State Park will be closed from Sept. 9-11, while the @forestservice and @waDNR complete culvert construction. This work will update the drainage infrastructure to reduce the risk of erosion and help keep the road, and access to the park, in good shape.
