I want people to know that when our brave, beloved friend left this world she was not alone. I was with her. I was holding her and stroking her head and holding her hand and talking to her. She wasn’t alone. I don’t know what comfort there is in that but she wasn’t alone.
Her name was June Knightly. She was a protector of the innocent, an advocate for the vulnerable, a beautiful person, and my dear friend. She died putting herself between a dangerous man and three unarmed women, including me. Say her name today.
A solemn reminder that even in times of grief & crisis, it is never in the best interest of you or your community to speak freely with the police. If you are approached or asked to make a comment, demand a lawyer be present. And as always, reach out to us if you need any support

Its important that our support for prisoners isnt contingent on if a person did or didn’t do the “crime” they’re convinced of. The entire movement falls apart as soon as we attach a lesser value to people who “broke the law” Every comrade serving time is worthy of your attention
While many are seeing release, many others are getting ready for trial and/or plea deals, then sentencing. It will be decades before our work of supporting these comrades concludes. Love & solidarity to all the individuals, AGs, and orgs committed to seeing this thru to the end!
