This is sad bc Maya Angelou was raped at age 7. The trauma caused her disability selective mutism. She didn’t speak for nearly 5 years. I never understood why victims of sexual violence show rapists’ empathy. Then I read Maya Angelou felt guilty when her rapist was murdered.

There are a lot of hidden Covid consequences our corporate overlords did not consider because they keep insisting Covid is benign & we can successfully coexist with it. Pour one out for the alcohol industry.

I cannot stress enough what you're signing onto by staying on this site after tomorrow. This is just one piece of the new Terms of Service. You've agreed to let Musk SUE YOU FOR MONEY for violating the terms of service no one reads.

F— you. My genetic heart condition, which led to a heart and kidney transplant, would not vanish by eating more protein. You all have no education or background in medicine or science, but you make gross generalizations that different diets cure diseases. It’s ableist.

90% of diseases would vanish if everyone started eating this way…

Disabled people and their families live in poverty at twice the rate of nondisabled people. How do you expect disabled people or parents with disabled kids to simply move to a blue state? This is deeply harmful advice. Just leaving poor folks behind?

If you have a kid with special needs, move to a blue state. If you are a racial minority, move to a blue state. If you are a woman, move to a blue state. If you are LGBTQ, move to a blue state. If you are an immigrant, move to a blue state. Time is of the essence.

The WHO says COVID is still a pandemic The CDC has never once said it’s safe for vulnerable ppl to contract COVID The “science” says COVID damages the heart, the brain, and immune system The idea Covid is safe to continually, repeatedly contract came from politicians. Only,

COVID denial from "leftist" accounts here is actually getting worse. Right now most seem to be at the same place MAGA was in 2020. The same behavior. The same talking points. The same ignorance of the facts and cruelty towards people who are sharing them. It's utterly shameful.

I believe we can make it through whatever is ahead, but we can’t do it without everyone from every movement acting in solidarity with disabled people. Make your spaces accessible, wear a mask, help keep us safe. Nobody’s free until we’re all free.

Toxicologist here! The amount of fluoride added to water to prevent tooth decay is so minuscule that - no matter your age, size, or health status - you would die from water poisoning long before you could ever even start getting toxicity from fluoride

Concerns about fluoride are about EXCESS INTAKE, not typical exposure levels. The public doesn't consume amounts linked to health risks. Remember: the dose makes the poison - even water is toxic in extreme amounts.

This isn’t sincere but manipulative. Under no circumstances do you out a person’s mental health struggles, even if you’re trying to protect them from scrutiny. Do you know how many moms get their kids taken away or lose custody due to public accusations of mental illness?

DDG and Halle Bailey may no longer be together but he is not here for the internet dragging her. He explained that she could be battling mental issues following the birth of their son, which is why he believes Halle deserves grace.

Yall see this ??? A politician talking about overcrowded ERs and a healthcare crisis while WEARING A MASK?? Contributing to community care instead of contributing to the crisis? Not putting her own cognitive dissonance and comfort before the reality of the situation?

Yesterday I presented a petition to stop the government's healthcare privatization plan. Over 2 million Ontarians do not have access to a doctor and have no choice but to wait in overcrowded ER's for care. Ontarians need real solutions not privatization #onpoli

From today disabled workers effectively "stop" earning for the rest of the year because of the pay gap between us and non-disabled workers. That gap sits at 17.2%, with non-disabled employees making about £2.35 more per hour on average. #DisabilityPayGapDay #FairDues

BECAUSE YALL DECIDED TO TRY TO IGNORE YOUR WAY OUT OF AN ONGOING AIRBORNE PANDEMIC I say it with love. Mask back up. Please. We are being reinfected at astronomically unsustainable rates, it damages your immune system, your brain, your heart, and can leave you with Long COVID
