Thanks to @CUSD300 for honoring our D-C Boys track and field state qualifiers and 5 All-State Athletes in the 4 by 1 (2nd overall) and 4 by 2 (4th overall) at the D300 board meeting tonight. @goDCHSathletics
Lastly, we wanted to recognize 2 time all-state senior athlete Kali Freeman. From a 24.84 freshman year to the state meet this year, Kali set our school record in the 200 meter dash running 21.82 and taking 10th in the state (missing finals by .01) @goDCHSathletics @UDTFXC
Freeman, Spencer (Stewart in Prelims), Bell, and Sobodu ran a school record 1:27.27 to place 4th in the 4 by 2. 2nd Top 4 state finish in the last 5 years for the 4 by 2.
Torrion Bell, Terrion Spencer, Kali Freeman, and Oreoluwa Sobodu were state runner up in the 4 by 1, .07 away from a state title. This was Dundee-Crown's highest relay finish ever at the state meet. 2nd top 3 4 by 1 finish in the last 5 years at the state meet. @goDCHSathletics
A couple of thoughts to close the season. These 5 sprinters helped D-C score its most points ever at a state meet as they were state runner-up in the 4 by 1 and 4th in the 4 by 2. It gives the Chargers 5 top 4 relay finishes the last 6 years at the state meet. @goDCHSathletics
How do you end a historic pole vault season for Dundee-Crown? 1st Annual Pole Vault Pizza Party with D-C Pole Vault T-Shirts. Thanks to Coach Olesen and his wife for hosting. Great to see the Pole Vaulters and their families. Looking forward to having this group back next year.
This is the result of great coaching and students who want to be great at their sport. Multiple relays in the last 5 years for a school that is oftentimes not talked about as much and even frowned upon. Charger for life!!
