Yes to a hostage deal. Yes to more aid. No to a Rafah invasion. Yes to a deal in Lebanon. No to a war with Iran. Yes to negotiations in good faith with anyone, anywhere. No to nihilism. Yes to hope. Always.

What being pro-Palestine means to me / my platform: I'm passionately, unequivocally, and without hesitation, a proponent of the Palestinian people’s just and urgent aspirations for self-determination, liberation, sovereignty, and safety. I grew up in Gaza, where I experienced…

I am glad that Biden is ordering air drops. It's better than nothing. But there's also something pathetic about it. Like a fire department facing a major conflagration and sprinkling some water from above instead of putting out the fire. Put out the fire, Joe! You have the power.

Last week I gave a presentation about how together we can build a global coalition of the kind and the reasonable. I believe with all my heart that this is possible, and if you have a few minutes to watch this, I hope it resonates with you. Thank you! youtu.be/uBFuq4HmDNw?si…

What does a path to peace for Israel and Palestine look like today? In this in-depth TED Membership conversation, Palestinian peace activist Ali Abu Awwad and Israeli founder of @Idealist @AmiDar share their visions for a way forward: ted.com/talks/ali_abu_…

eventually, millions of Palestinians will continue to live on this land alongside millions of Jews who will also continue to live here, on the same land. We both call this land a homeland. The only possible solution is a life of equality, freedom & independence for all. Peace.

When I was 19, I realized suddenly and deeply that there are wonderful people across all the lines that divide us. Since then, I've been obsessing about how together we can build a better world. In this piece I try to combine that story and this idea. medium.com/@AmiDar/our-he…

Happening now in Tel Aviv Jaffa: Hundreds of Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel are protesting against this endless war, against the occupation, against the killing of the innocent and for Israeli-Palestinian peace. Only peace will bring us sefaty and security.

My tribute to dear Vivian I have known Vivian Silver for more than 30 years. She was an outstanding model of human goodness. She was always a moral compass for everyone in the peace camp in Israel and Palestine.

I got this message last night from someone I've never met. This happens every day now. And here's the thing: I am an Israeli Jew and I *know* that most Muslims feel this way. And it pains me to no end that a few extremists get to taint a whole faith. Shalom to you, my brother.

Here's a question: If their work is so important that you can't risk a potential strike of even a day; and you feel you have to invoke the notwithstanding clause - why are they being paid so little?

Myer Horowitz, who served as the U of A’s ninth president from 1979-89, will be remembered for his leadership, his scholarly work devoted to teacher education and his personal touch on the campus he served. #UAlberta ualberta.ca/folio/2022/10/…

Myer Horowitz died yesterday. He was a great friend of public education - Dean of Education at the U. of A., and then President of the U. for 10 years. Myer was a constant supporter of those who worked in any role (Minister, teacher, E.A.) that contributed to public education.
