My wife is from Carndonagh. In childhood she went to Derry every weekend. She didn't visit Letterkenny until she was about 17. So, you can figure out how Inishowen, in particular, and Derry are a natural unit.
Serious question: If there’s no valid reason Derry must remain in NI, and if Stormont refuses to govern the North West fairly, as it has done for 100 years… Why should Derry wait for an NI-wide poll - and not instead demand an immediate repeal of the Boundary Commission report?

The only smart option for Stormont, Paul Bartholomew and @conormurphysf here is to reduce student fees in Derry, Otherwise students from NI will have to pay 9k in Magee for a service they can get free half-an-hour down the road in Letterkenny or indeed anywhere else in the South.
