I agree. This plan has some issues. A dedicated bike lane protected by curbs should be constructed on Detroit Avenue . It’s a a nice, wide straight shot East/West across our city and into the inner ring suburbs.
I’ve been critical of this plan primarily due to the cost of the proposed design, but strictly from a design perspective this is not great for biking. Having a sidewalk adjacent cycle track will turn this into a multi use path that will create slow moving obstacles for bikers.
