Re-occurring theme from all #mentalhealth services that spoke & attended across @NHSScotland from today's Mental Health #physiotherapy CPD/Education day is the number of clinicians that are - Part time - "Small team" with overwhelming demand. @MareeToddMSP @ScottishLabour

Reading this during @PhysiosinMH conference!Physios are expert in adapting physical activity for health to meet individual needs for injury, disability&meet mental&physical health needs. how can we embed this in practice? @CSPScot @ScotPhysioMH @ScotBoardCSP @movementhealth

Scottish Government have today launched Scotland’s Physical Activity for Health Framework, setting out how working collaboratively will ensure more people are more active, more often.  It has been excellent to be part of developing this new framework and Movement for Health…

The #networking has been critical but so has being given the freedom to individualise approaches to fit each board. #funding is a massive privilege so we are keen to ensure we maximise the #impact of every penny to ensure people living with dementia get the most from #AHPs

Well done everyone. Great to see the impact of local AHP leadership & the impact of collective collaboration by all at @AhpDementia for the benefit of the people who matter #LivedExperience ♥️

Be fearless, persistent & encouraging. As @PhysiosinMH we must be able to ask difficult questions.Ask someone if they are struggling, ask if they are suicidal. It's up to us to support people to open up, share their fears& talk about them openly to encourage progress @ScotPhysioMH

“Sitting is the new smoking,” phrase perhaps coined by J. Levine professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic, told LA Times, “Sitting is more dangerous than smoking, kills more people than HIV and is more treacherous than parachuting. We are sitting ourselves to death" @csp @accpld

Come say hi and test your grip strength at our @AhpDementia stand at the #alzscot24 conference - did you know reduced grip strength and reduced walking speed can be early indicators of cognitive decline / dementia.

Looking forward to more good conversations at the breaks today STAND 30 #alzscot24
