No skip reentry for Artemis II
NASA's outgoing administrator Bill Nelson: We've decided to keep the Artemis II spacecraft flight plan as-is, with a modified reentry trajectory to address concerns with the Orion spacecraft heat shield. Launch of Artemis II now targeted for April 2026. Artemis III in mid-2027.
NASA made a very bad decision to fly Artemis II with the same failed heatshield used on Artemis I. I predicted this over one year ago and all my pleading with Bill Nelson fell on deaf ears. Jared please read my book: "Mission Out of Control". time is running out.
One of the hardest problems of second-stage reusability is the heat shield. We designed ours to be incredibly durable, so it can be rapidly reused, again and again. 👀👉🔗 stokespace.com/building-rocke…
