I'm trying to live a life that's both stable and unpredictable. I want a place that feels like home, but I also want to occasionally feel so lost that I'm forced to grow.
Someday, you're going to wake up and wish you had made more mistakes. Because at least it would mean you had tried new things. Make mistakes while you can so you don't have to make peace with your regrets later on.
Regardless of what you say or do, some people will remain intent on misunderstanding you. Because when a personal bias is strong, anything that isn't in direct support of that bias will be viewed as wrong. In this situation, all you can do is move on.
Life is TOO SHORT to worry about being TOO MUCH. If you make others uncomfortable, let them make their way out of your life.
Happy 72nd Dad! Was remembering how much I used to love that look you'd give. That look with a mischievous, loving grin that your friends and loved ones knew so well. Joyous and curious and wondrous. Miss you and love you forever!
