It is with profound sadness that we learn of the passing of WIIS’ founder, Dr. Catherine McArdle Kelleher (January 19, 1939 – February 15, 2023). Dr. Kelleher was a professor, political scientist, writer, and champion for women in the field of international security policy.

Genuinely shocking to me that this doesn't already exist. I struggle to think of a more perfectly NPR idea. Give Danielle whatever she wants to make this a reality!

It's been 200 days since #Afghan girls haven't been able to go to school, while many #Taliban leaders send their daughters to study. 8 months after the withdrawal, evacuation of those in danger is still stalling. (1/2) #EPlenary #Afghanistan #LetAfghanGirlsLearn @GreensEFA
