#OTD 1941 Just after 7pm, #Sturry village centre was destroyed by a parachute mine. Houses, shops, a chapel and a pub were destroyed, leaving 15 people dead (including 4 children) and many more injured. Another parachute mine landed harmlessly in a nearby allotment.
