Yep… the absolute nonsense of taking morally motivated, child-centred people into a profession then insisting they put their own children second through policies like this. The results are unsurprising.

I can’t thank @RotaryChiHarbou enough for the life changing experience you have given to my son by selecting him for #RYLA The youth leadership course is incredible and my son wept all the way home having made the most wonderful friends whilst making memories to last a lifetime.

Huge well done to all those fellow families guiding their teens through their exams whilst also juggling work, life and all the bumps along the way too. The summer is insight ❤️

👇🏼 Maths SATs papers analysis 👇🏼 📊 Lots of juicy numbers to get stuck into 🙅‍♀️ Plus a fair bit of whinging from me about some of the questions (who doesn’t love a moan about SATs?) @LbQorg lbq.org/primary/hub/po… #LbQ

Sums things up well 😭🙈🤣

Chen is thinking of a number. It's bigger than a breadstick but younger than his teeth. If Chen's number is an acute angle, then which bag does the maths test go in and what label do you put on it?

Today’s KS2 maths reasoning paper is a failure at a national level, one which will serve only to put pupils off maths. There is nothing wrong with tough questions in maths. Mathematicians love the challenge of overcoming difficult problems. But that’s not the same thing at all…

Very true and people say stupid things like lucky you, no planning this week. 🤬😡

It’s funny because you teach less in SATs week but you’re ten thousand times more nackered.

May the reading paper be free from Spanish speaking cats, any milling around in bewilderment, monuments on islands, wainscoting, sheep rustlers or parsnips!

Absolutely loved this Year 6 contribution to our Trashion Show today

Tonight it seems only fitting to have my shared opening be the prologue of Windrush Child. Feel more honoured than ever to have purchased a class set and be reading this with Year 6 after Christmas. RIP Benjamin Zepheniah. A true literary icon.
