Best description of #empathy that I have encountered. P. 123 @BreneBrown #atlasoftheheart Much more nuanced than “walking in someone else’s shoes”. This is life-changing 💜

Great day today at @stcheducation for the MND Annual Conference: Power In Partnership conference. #MNDConf2022

I think this is brilliant! Joining two single beds together isn’t the same. This would mean so much to so many people, particularly when time is precious. #EOL #EOLC #PalliativeCare

The icing on the cake... Took receipt today of our double bed for trial in the hospice. Allowing patients and loved ones to be side by side and cuddled together should they choose. Thank you @JohneastwoodHos our charity partner and our generous donors for making this happen #eol

Reflecting back... 15 months: I was offered my ‘dream job’ whilst in my 3rd year of training with @UoP_Nursing 12 months: I was pestering @stevesearby1 cus I was so nervous & apprehensive. 9 months: I qualified. Today: I receive this feedback... 😲🥰 #NQN #PalliativeCare

Any STN’s/NQN’s or maybe nurses who are looking for a handy podcast, have a look at those from Straight A Nursing. I know it’s American, but most of it is applicable. Their website is handy too, particularly their resources 👍🏻@StNurseProject @WeStudentNurse

Is there any way that @UoP_Nursing could please take me off the list for receiving Moodle mail for whichever cohort is about to start their 5th placement pleeeease? I’ve been trying to sort this for a while now but never been able to get to the bottom of it. Thank you so much! 😊

When someone says you’re going to work with a NQN, what is your perception? This is something I’m quite interested in and hearing peoples thoughts. My reason being is because a lovely Dr said to me “you don’t look like a NQN...” and it’s since made me intrigued 😁@StNurseProject

Day off well spent in lovely company. We went up to Old Harry’s Rocks; glad we didn’t decide to turn round when the heavens opened, as we would of missed a beautiful view which we were fortunate to see. A nice walk which had a cosy, warm end. #OldHarryRocks #ThePurbeckWay #Dorset

I was shown this at yesterday’s training and it’ll certainly always be in the back of my mind now when I’m supporting those who are experiencing grief, loss & bereavement of a loved one. Would recommend viewing💗 youtu.be/BjdevFd2xEs #PalliativeCare #healthcare #nursing #NQN

It really is a rewarding profession with many career paths and opportunities available. We have places available on our Adult and Mental Health Nursing courses starting Sept 2020. @portsmouthuni is a fantastic place to start your nursing journey. #YearoftheNurseandMidwife

There are many paths your nursing career can take, whether you want to work in operating theatres, clinical research or care for older people. Search ‘nursing degrees’ to get started in a supportive and inspiring profession — UCAS applications close Wednesday 15 January. #TeamCNO

Happy New Year one and all! Hope this year treats you kind and brings you lots of joy & happiness. 🎉 #HappyNewYear #happynewyear2020

Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄 As well as raising a glass or two for the Christmas festivities, I’ll also be raising a glass to one of my best friends on what would of been his 40th birthday 🍻 It maybe 11years, but he’s always in my thoughts. #gonebutneverforgotton
