If we don’t tackle the national debt, all tax revenue will go to paying interest and there will be nothing left for anything else

It was only July 28, 2024 we reached $35 trillion for the US national debt. Now about 100 days later we are at $36 trillion in debt. Interest on the national is on pace for $1.4 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year. About 25% of US govt revenue will go to pay interest on the debt.

The Arkansas republicans think spending and wasteful spending will work . Guess for their friends

The assumption that spending more of the taxpayers' money will make things better has survived all kinds of evidence that it has made things worse.

This crime and overcrowding crisis just didn’t appear out of the blue . 2/3 inmates in incarceration and county backlog has convictions back to just 8 counties. This is a complex problem and unfortunately the ones like @BartHester who created this disaster is trying to “solve” it.

Been through this railroad the people communist tactic over the Buffalo River when they wanted the river designation change . The lack of transparency and unrealistic financial estimates should make every taxpayer concerned.

To easily show how the prison building cost con works let’s look at Alabama. What was originally sold as building two prisons for one billion is now 1.3 billion for just one prison. And it’s only 40 percent done. That’s why the Gov won’t produce the details on a 470 million prison.
