#Braves and Mets aren’t playing tonight or tomorrow night, as you could surmise from the approaching storm bringing steady and potentially heavy rain for the next 48 hours. It’ll eventually be announced, don’t know why it hasn’t been yet.
A look at radar this afternoon. Looking at short range modeling, I’d be surprised to see any useful window of dry before maybe 10-11pm. And honestly, I’m surprised they haven’t called it. #Braves #Mets

I can understand waiting/seeing for tonight’s game, as it wasn’t especially clear that it would be so greatly affected until perhaps Monday. That uncertainty likely led to lack of decisiveness. Now you find yourself in a tough situation w/ likely 2 games needing to be made up.
MLB moves slowly on matters that require fast, decisive action. Hurricane path known 4-5 days ago. Mets and Braves were off Monday. Having them start series Monday would’ve reduced it to 1 game to make up next Monday. And moving today’s game to noon might’ve enabled whole series.
Rain will likely begin to ramp up this afternoon in central/north Georgia, eastern Alabama, and the far western Carolinas. Several inches of rain looking likely for Atlanta thru tonight alone, with plenty more tomorrow and Thu night. #Braves #Mets

Not as of yet. But the forecast, starting tomorrow morning through Friday AM is not overly promising.
As of right now, Thursday is looking like the day that would get washed out if current track forecasts hold. It’s a fairly quick mover, so Friday may yet be salvaged. Still a few days for track/speed to shift, which could change which day is a wash. #BravesCountry
Heads up! Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine 🌀 is expected to bring significant rainfall and the threat of flash flooding to much of the Southeast later this week. A Moderate Risk of excessive rainfall has been issued for parts of Florida, Alabama, and Georgia on Thursday 9/26. 🌧️
