These are great policies I’ve supported as housing critic for the past two years. I’m very confident we have the best plan for renters in this election. #nspoli

Here are 5 things a NS Liberal government will do to support renters: 1. Establish better rent control 2. Close the fixed-term lease loophole 3. Establish a provincial rent bank 4. Reverse the cuts to the rental supplement 5. Establish a Residential Tenancies Enforcement Unit

I’m biased but I agree. #nspoli

With the full PC platform out - a weak housing section. Just two new policies in the window. Making it pretty clear they don't care about treating the housing crisis like a crisis

For a party led by an accountant, PC math is is pretty rusty. There’s no “hole” in this promise. We are increasing HARP from $600 to $1000. For 130,000 NSians, that’s $52.5 million in *new* spending. For more, check our platform at liberal.ns.ca/platform/#comm#nspoli

In Zach Churchill's Liberal 'costed platform' their Heating Assistance Rebate Program changes will cost $52.5 million per year... the real cost? $140 million every year. “There’s an $87.5 million hole in this promise," says Halifax Atlantic PC Candidate Brendan Maguire.

We just released our platform – it’s fully costed, and full of bold, new ideas. It’s a plan that will help Nova Scotians deal with the affordability crisis, improve access to healthcare, and make sure housing is more affordable and accessible. liberal.ns.ca/platform

If I’m given the honour of being Premier of our province, a Nova Scotia Liberal government would implement a plan to create a more transparent and open provincial government that works for people. More on how we’ll do that here: liberal.ns.ca/churchill-comm…

Congratulations to @susanholt and the @NBLA_ALNB on winning a majority government! It’s clear that people are ready for a government that listens and takes action. Looking forward to working together to make life better for families across the Maritimes.

Happy 100th to President Carter. An incredible human being who has dedicated his life to public service. A model for politicians who want to work with decency and dignity. #nspoli

We have a growing “democratic deficit” in NS. All parties have helped to create it, and all parties should help fix it. We need more debate, not less. More transparency, not less. Less partisanship and more honest politics. #nspoli cbc.ca/news/canada/no…

Proud of the legislation I introduced today to support renters and bring evidence-based decisions to the rental market. #nspoli

So far, the government has failed to act on housing during this legislative session. Which is why, today, @Braedon_Clark tabled the Residential Rent Stabilization Act. It’s time for the PCs to put people above politics. Let's see if they'll agree to a better deal for renters.
