Our latest paper! In this paper, we report a light induced strengthening of an organogel. A monomer gel upon irradiation undergoes topochemical polymerisation to a semiconducting polymer which makes a stronger gel than the monomer gel. doi.org/10.1002/cphc.2…

The reaction is exo only, which is typically less preferred at room temperature for these partners

Syndiotactic Polymer via Spontaneous Exoselective Single-Crystal-To-Single-Crystal Topochemical Diels–Alder Cycloaddition | Journal of the American Chemical Society @tvmiiser #Syndiotactic #Polymer #Exoselective #SingleCrystal #Topochemical #DielsAlder pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

In this work, we synthesized a crystalline syndiotactic polymer by using a Diels-Alder reaction, for the first time, for topochemical polymerization. Thanks to @SureshanLab for the guidance and support.

Here is our latest paper in JACS. We have exploited the Diels-Alder reaction, in the solid state, for the topochemical synthesis of a syndiotactic polymer. This is the first use of Diels-Alder reaction for the topochemical polymerization. pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.10…

Click chemistry is useful for polymer synthesis. But the product can‘t be depolymerized. We solved this issue by using TEAC reaction to make triazolinyl polymers which can be denitrogenated to hydrolysable imine polymer. This is a landmark contribution doi.org/10.1002/anie.2…

Here's the work carried out during my master's project. Thanks to @SureshanLab for the support.

Two back-to-back papers in Nature Communications! In the second paper, we show that a perfect polymer stereocomplex can be made by topochemical polymerization, which is otherwise difficult due to length-mismatch, looping, knotting, coiling and bundling. doi.org/10.1038/s41467…

Two back-to-back papers in Nature Communications! In one paper, we report a hierarchical topochemical synthesis of a 2D polymer! A monomer underwent two single-crystal-to-single-crystal polymerizations, first to a 1D polymer and then to a 2D polymer.  doi.org/10.1038/s41467…

Our latest paper in Angew. Chem.!We show that molecular motion in crystal changes the fate of a topochemical Diels-Alder Cycloaddition reaction. A monomer Instead of reacting intermolecularly, reacted intramolecularly after a massive rotation. doi.org/10.1002/anie.2…
