We are aware of increasing violence in Mindat, including reports of the military shooting civilians. Attacks on civilians are illegal and cannot be justified. Evidence of atrocities should be sent to the @UN IIMM so perpetrators can be held to account. iimm.un.org/contact-us/

At least three casualties were reported during a violent crackdown in Yangon’s South Dagon township on Monday afternoon. Apparently, junta's forces threw a grenade to the protesters which shattered the makeshift barricades. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

Darkest day of the month 😥😢#WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

The Tatamadaw junta has no legitimacy inside the country, and almost no support outside. The leaders might not care about criticism, but they cannot be happy about their near-total failure to gain support or acceptance at home or abroad.
