New year, new you? Stop it! 🛑 You're doing great just as you are. Why should we change everything just to suit the date? Even if you're not where you want to be right now, working on it slowly is enough. You'll get there.

Give yourself a pat on the back, a round of applause or celebrate however you fancy, because YOU MADE IT! Through all the continued uncertainty and challenges, you're here and you nailed 2021. Happy New Year! Let's hope 2022 is a kind one.

Believe in yourself like kids believe in Santa! Christmas can be busy and loud and challenging but it can also be full of happiness, joy and fun times with people you care for. You've got this.

Christmas can be an exciting occasion but it can be daunting for those with a #mentalhealth issue. That's why Forward Thinking Birmingham's Dr Bhogal has put together these tips for looking after your mental health this festive season: forwardthinkingbirmingham.nhs.uk/top-tips-for-l…

As much as we’d love it if they did, emotions don’t just stop and default to happy because it’s Christmas! There’s all sorts of feelings that might sneak up on you during the festive season, so just take a moment to check in with yourself and give yourself the time you need.

Earlier this month the NHS forecasted a surge in cases of PTSD as a result of COVID-19. As well as keeping yourself safe from the virus, it's important to look after your mental health. Don't forget that support is available if you need it, you just need to reach out.

You know what? If you're not feeling Christmassy this year, that's okay. Whatever the reason, you don't have to explain yourself to anyone so let's lose the pressure!

Who else feels like they blinked and then all of a sudden it was December? This time of year can get super busy and stressy, and it's easy to let everything overwhelm you. Here are a few things to remember that might help lighten the festive load.

Shout out to Dr Alex George for speaking out about his own struggles with mental health and the stigma surrounding medication recently. Mental health is health and no one, young or old, should be made to feel ashamed of their condition or how they treat it.

Whatever you're facing, this is your reminder that you already have what it takes. Whether it's finishing that piece of work, applying for a job or just getting through the day or week, you've got this!

Not everyday is sunshine and rainbows, so why should you be positive or put on a smile if that's not how you're feeling? We all have these days and it's okay! We just have to remember that it won't last and that it will get better.

Bullying can have a profound and long-term impact on young people's mental health, but don't take it from us, take it from someone who's been there. Read 24-year-old Louna's story here: fightforallthefeels.org/louna-speaks-a… #antibullyingweek

Validate yourself! It's time to be kind, give yourself the credit you deserve and remember that whatever you're feeling is okay! Give it a go and say one or more of these to yourself each day.

How mindful are you feeling right now? Sometimes it's good to breakaway from watching TV or scrolling through your phone. Even completing a little task can make you feel more accomplished and engaged. Why not try some of these?

Our #FightForAllTheFeels fundraising campaign supports the FTB service and together we want to help children and young people to cope with everything they’re experiencing now and in the future, so that their mental health isn't a barrier, and they can achieve their dreams.

Today is #SocialMediaKindnessDay, which was started to raise awareness of the impact of social media on our mental health and encourage us to #BEKIND on social media to make it a healthier, happier space.

Here’s a little reminder that things take time, whether you’re growing fruit or growing yourself. Things don’t happen over night but that doesn’t mean you’re not making progress, quite the opposite. Look how far you’ve come!
