This is a common process: 1) Suggest New Thing to replace Old Thing. 2) Discuss New Thing and be really excited about it. 3) Start writing detailed spec on New Thing. 4) See flaws, issues, etc with New Thiing . 5) Go back to Old Thing but with some minor, but important, tweak.
