I couldn't have said it better myself.

From 2021: An interview with John Swartzwelder, one of the most revered comedy writers of all time. nyer.cm/gI9TxPM

I was blown away after watching to realise Stewart has rarely ever done villainous roles. He killed it. And to be that guy, I think he’d kill it as Mr. Freeze.

Thinking about Green Room again, and how utterly chilling Patrick Stewart was as an antagonist, him playing against type felt shocking in ways that I don't know if many other actors could have pulled off, like a genuine shock to the system seeing him portray someone so cruel.

Fargo

Which TV show had you hooked after one episode?

i would like to see Tim Burton's darkly whimsical take on something less obvious, like a Denny's menu

Bro walks into a prison “If everyone here is a murderer. Then no one is.”

If everyone is, then no one is.

lol, I remember when you were all cheering Sapochnik’s departure

The way I’m praying HBO hires Miguel Sapochnik back for all future ASOIAF related shows. The difference between season 1 and season 2 of HOTD is insane

I don’t really care about the motivation for space travel - space travel has always paid dividends back when invested into. So much technology that we take for granted today came directly from the engineering required to go to space.

do science fiction writers realize the tech needed to travel to a planet in a different star system and establish civilization there is like, unfathomably more complicated than the tech needed to just solve literally every problem on earth instead?

I have a lot of issues with TLJ, but have always thought the Cinematography and overall Filmmaking is some of the best in Star Wars.

That zoom in on Rey like we’re looking from Kylo’s POV and focusing on what he’s noticing, oh Rian Johnson they all owe you an apology, you’re an artist among artists.

film discourse could be improved so much if people responded to a movie being different than they expect by asking “why?” instead of assuming it’s because the movie is broken and the filmmaker is incompetent

You’re not gonna believe who wrote this episode

If 13 did this, most of DWTwt would have descended into chaos

Doctor Who and Midsommar Murders

Something magical about watching an old B-Movie and the smallest part in the film is played by someone who’s about to get stupid famous

Wolverine’s height isn’t a “oh it’d be nice to see in live action” thing. It’s integral to the character.

Next time anyone brings up comic accuracy in regards to height, show them this image

I agree that there are a lot of grifters who are predisposed to hate everything, but anyone who says that they’re actively looking to enjoy a story regardless shouldn’t have a stake in media criticism. It’s a good way to be as a viewer, but film critique can’t be like this

You know what? I am a shill. You got me! I love Star Wars so much that I find it really difficult to dislike anything, even if I might have some issues. I actively look for things to enjoy in every story, and that makes my experience as a fan a lot less miserable than yours😘

Succession is a comedy and I will die on this hill

Arguably Wrath or Burning Crusade. Hate to be a purist, but it was already going a little downhill around that time. MoP did reinovate a bit

Can someone please remind me the last time WoW actually had good lore. I don't mean good for WoW, or mildly interesting, I mean actually *good* compared to other fantasy worlds.
