The spiritual life is a stern choice. It is not a consoling retreat from the difficulties of existence; but an invitation to enter fully into that difficult existence, and there apply the Charity of God and bear the cost. (The School of Charity)

Prayer is what keeps the lamp of the heart lit. When we feel our enthusiasm wane, #Prayer fans the flame, because it brings us back to God, to the center of everything. Prayer reawakens the soul and focuses us on what matters and the purpose of existence.

Devotion to the Heart of Christ is essential for our Christian life. It expresses our openness in faith and adoration to the mystery of the Lord’s divine and human love. The Sacred Heart offers a synthesis of the Gospel. #DilexitNos

To know the Lord, it is not enough to know something about Him. We must follow Him, allow ourselves to be moved and changed by His Gospel, and engage in a relationship with Him—an encounter that transforms our life. #GospelOfToday

Do you want to be great? Make yourself small and put yourself at the service of everyone. In the #GospelOfTheDay (Mark 9:30-37), Jesus renews our way of living. He teaches us that true power does not lie in domination by the strong, but in the care for the weak.

‘For the fully Christian life is a Eucharistic life…a natural life conformed to the pattern of Jesus, given in its wholeness to God, laid on His altar as a sacrifice of love, and consecrated, transformed by His inpouring life, to be used to give life and food to other souls’.
