Thrilled to share our work on how bacterial infection and systemic inflammation compromise ongoing germinal center responses. For me, this project was a lesson in persistence and emphasized the power of scientific discussions. @ImmunityCP authors.elsevier.com/c/1ecL03qNrUqF…

Feeling nostalgic and happy to be in Jerusalem for the Rothschild fellows meeting, hosted by the Hebrew University. We had an amazing day of talks and scientific interactions 🧬🔬👩🏻‍🔬

Congratulations Itzkovitz lab! Truly exciting project that opens interesting questions about the function of immune cells in the gut lumen. Happy to have been involved in this

Some science during these terrible days: @KerenBaHa paper is online in @NatMetabolism: nature.com/articles/s4225…. See also this preview: nature.com/articles/s4225…. Thank you @ZivShulman, @AdiBiram, @yaelkorem, @yotamharnik, @AdiEgozi, Oran Yakubovsky and @WeizmannScience

This picture says it all! After a great lab retreat, I’m on my way to the EMBO fellows meeting :)

Alas, all good things come to an end. But we all agree the retreat was a success.

Wow.

1/ 🤰What can we learn about pregnancy form 45 million lab tests? We present a dynamic atlas of pregnancy and postpartum based on measurements from over half a million pregnancies at a one-week resolution. @biorxivpreprint @AlonBar10

Amazing work 🤩

Today we report that an engineered skin bacterium, swabbed gently on the head of a mouse, can unleash a potent immune response against a distant tumor. @yerinchen led the charge w/ help from @DjenetBousbaine, @VeinbachsA, @BelkaidLab @ScienceMagazine 1/26 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

1/ We are excited to share exciting news about human IL-23 in #ScienceImmunology (science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…).

Sorry to hear about the passing of Prof. Nils Lycke. I feel fortunate to have interacted with him, and thankful for his major contributions to B cell mucosal immunology.

Nils Lycke, beloved and distinguished mucosal immunologist, passed away in Fall 2022. Read more of his life and accomplishments: mucosalimmunology.org/article/S1933-…

Did you know that live immune cells are constantly shedding from our gut and can potentially function in the lumen? I was happy to play a part in this cool study by the Itzkovitz lab, led by the great @KerenBaHa

Check out our new preprint on the after-life of intestinal cells: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…. Cells that are shed each day from our gut are thought to die immediately upon their dissociation from the tissue. Here we show that this is not the case (1/6).

Beautiful work by @DmitriKotov and Russell Vance showing that immunosuppressive neutrophil-driven feedback loops promote TB pathogenesis. A great @globalimmuno talk by Russell on this is available on youtube! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
