If an ADHDer says “I need help removing barriers so that minor set-backs don’t stop me from getting stuff done” and you reply “it’s my not role to solve problems”, you shouldn’t be working with ADHDers.

If an autistic adult tells you that they rely on bland carbs, and you reply “oh, so you’re an emotional eater?”, then you should NOT be working with autistic people.

Quick reminder: Neurodivergent children ✨ do not ✨ hit developmental milestones at the same time as their neurotypical peers. We’re on our own timeline. Give us a few years.

PSA: Playing your phone videos at full volume in public is disrespectful.

I was so excited that I was on time today. Then realised I’d confused my start time with yesterday (today was 15min earlier), I didn’t have all the stuff I needed, and I had no fuel. ADHD life is fantastic y’all

The adhd experience of being productive is one of two states; 1. hyperfocus or 2. constantly fighting the voice in your brain telling you to not do the thing

How much money have I wasted on paying because I lost my parking ticket??! Today alone was $13.50

AuDHD + seeking customer service is a game of: what’s more intolerable? Making the phone call or waiting for the online chat person to respond

It's definitely a major pain to constantly struggle to get started with tasks, but can we talk about how this means ADHD'ers are out here burning through all our executive function points at work and then not having any left to function outside of work?

Those feels when you have brown noise on loop to drown out the incessant noise of your home

Nothing will more relatable than the distaste with which @commaficionado writes about phone calls

Difficulties with task initiation can look like sitting in your car and struggling to actually start driving to your destination, even if you want to go there. Brain, I’m literally going to visit a friend I like WTF.

Went to shop to get stuff to do project. Excited about project at shop. Got home. Want to go to bed. It’s been less than an hour. F**k my dysfunctional brain.

#audhd is giving your business account details to your SO to make business purchases because if you use them, you’ll accidentally memorise the numbers and then spend all the money 🤷🏻‍♀️

Research shows that autistic people are morally consistent while neurotypicals tend to be morally adaptive. So if you are autistic and a person you like is autistic and they want to hang out with you, you don’t have to second guess it. They’re not faking it. They are your friend.

Since I got diagnosed Autistic, people around me have put on “handle with care” gloves, and honestly, it’s exactly what I needed
