Someone sell to me why I DON’T need to be bothered when someone uses “quote” instead of “quotation”… please. Because I have an irrational hatred of it.

Teacher workload: F/T teacher on 22/25 lessons teaching. If I have a pre planned, centralised, fully resourced SOL and I spend 10 mins giving each lesson a cursory read through - not even adapting - that’s all my PPA plus 0.6 of another session used.

About that old teacher cliche about short days and long holidays…..The average person works 47 weeks a year and around 40 hours per week. Teachers work 39 weeks (if we don’t include work in hols) per year and 50-60+ hours per week during term time. Who works more? Do the maths.

I’m 6 months pregnant and will be working til 10pm tonight on bits for my class/school after leaving work at 6 and getting in at half 7. Don’t tell me striking teachers are lazy, if I was paid what I’m worth it wouldn’t be an issue #TeacherStrike
