The power law of crime (that, e.g. 50% of British crime is committed by 0.14% of the population currently outside prison) is actually an *underestimate* of the damage repeat offenders do, because they also hurt our culture and norms against doing crime. Crime begets crime.
The most prolific phone thief in London is stealing 1000s of phones a year and may be responsible for over 1% of ALL phone thefts in the city. Most of ALL crime is committed by a tiny fraction of these career criminals. But more of them face shorter sentences than ever...
It really illustrates the power law in common concerns, from American Bullies being responsible for the majority of fatal attacks in recent years to a small number of individuals being responsible for most mobile phone and bicycle thefts
8 simple points to fix Britain. The Government must act immediately. It is failing in its duty to protect its citizens.
At @crush_crime we have an 8 Point Plan on how to do this, fast. We can jail career criminals and crush crime rates by up to 90% If government doesn't, they choose to clog our courts, and our prisons with a revolving door of career criminals. No excuses, government must act.
Must read thread from one of the most important and influential figures in the UK today From achieving the overwhelmingly popular XL Bully Ban in record time, to now taking on career criminals who plague our society, Dr Newport is fixing Britain one step at a time.

Incredible initiative by the UKs most successful and influential campaigner Time for a positive, enjoyable society, not one plagued by fear and crime. A better Britain, delivered by the only man who can.
I'm starting a new campaign to @crush_crime rates across the country If we focus on the small number of career criminals that commit most crime we can crush crime rates by up to 90% Government KNOWS this - they just have to ACT on it Sign-up and support us!
Imagine if we did to crime what we did to Bully XLs (made it illegal).

Just make Dr Lawrence Newport a Lord already
Dangerous dogs campaigner Dr Lawrence Newport turns his attention to the XL Bullies of the crime world. One to watch!

This dog was transported unassessed, no full history, dumped in the back of a van, travelled 100s of miles, then left in the hands of an unexperienced "fosterer." Carting dogs around like this isn't kindness. It's a recipe for disaster
RIP to this poor girl The details of what happened sound absolutely horrific. Another victim of the deadly XL Bully. Another child who did not have to die. When will this madness end? dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…
So many apologists for the killer Bully XL claimed that it was not an XL which viciously killed poor Ian in an unprovoked attack Once again it has been confirmed, it was the inherently aggressive XL Bully, a dog who has biting and killing in it's blood news.sky.com/story/man-plea…
Never. They won't accept any responsibility. They just deny and deflect. Any animal lover would be appalled at any dog attacking another animal to kill. It's not acceptable dog behaviour
The bully community and its campaign groups never issue statements of concern or empathy to victims. Biggest indicator that they don't truly understand responsible dog ownership. But they like wearing hats 🙄 Pitbull enthusiasts in charge as always
It is not just small children, pregnant women, grandmothers and even fully trained adult male dog trainers who are victims of attacks by deadly killer XL Bully dogs No true animal lover can support these inherently vicious, aggressive dogs. gbnews.com/news/xl-bully-…
XL Bully activists have been constantly pushing owners to break the law by ignoring the much loved Bully Ban And the results are laid bare.
