We had a great morning kicking off the new school year with all 900 team members and Rodney Page under one roof. His message “don’t block your blessings” was perfect. At Port Huron Schools we are Stronger Together! #1PHASD

I love my job! Today was difficult and my team and I were struggling with some tough decisions. I glanced out the window of my office and got a little reminder of the reason we all work here in Port Huron. Thanks little scientists … we needed that ❤️ #1PHASD

Had a great start to my day at the Mayor’s National Day of Prayer breakfast. Pastor Seppo plays a mean guitar and I’m super proud of Ethan Jones (PHHS 24) the winner of the Kiwanis, Key Club scholarship. #1PHASD

We appreciate the opportunity to present our recent work diversifying our libraries to the Michigan Department of Education Board and State Superintendent Dr. Rice today in Lansing. Our kids need choices so they can see themselves and others in what they read. #1PHASD

Thank you to Port Huron Schools Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for organizing today’s panel discussion celebrating the life/work of Dr. Martin Luther King jr. Our students gained so much hearing from their peers & officials from SC4 and our local NAACP. #1PHASD #MLKjr

Absolutely loved this morning’s concert at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. Mr. Lee and his student’s are obviously not on the “naughty list” because look who showed up! Also thanks for bringing back the school song - great to hear the pride in our kids’ voices. #1PHASD #SANTA

Nothing starts the holiday season better than band concerts. Congratulations to our Central Middle School bands and their friends from the local New Horizon’s who joined in on the fun. Pretty cool listening to the adults and kiddos together. BTW Frosty is my favorite! #1PHASD
