Ironically I’ve had more issues with pre-modded original hardware handhelds (GBA, GBP and GBC) than with emulation handhelds (RG351P & RG35XX) lately, although admittedly it’s just been a long line of bad luck with the mods themselves.
TIL playing GB(C) games on a GBA isn’t as good as I expected, even with an upgraded IPS display, given that the screen doesn’t fill up vertically. I guess this is done to ensure things look as accurate as possible, even if it means underutilizing the available screen area.
Ok; so it turns out that the song in Dream about Food (#Melatonin) is actually a remixed/sped-up version of New Friends by Shindig. That explains why I couldn’t find it in the OST.
PSA: If your #Playdate’s battery life is pretty woeful, try charging it for a few hours more after reaching 100%. Mine’s improved from lasting roughly (less than) a day to… well it’s lasted for 2 days already, still going strong and sitting at only 90%.
