Net Revenue Per Laborer (NRPL) a key metric for worker-directed organizations. When NRPL is sufficient to meet laborers material needs; that is a Blue NRPL. When it's insufficient, it's a Red NRPL. Shifting from Red to Blue NRPL is painful, which is why it is a Purple NRPL.

Sometimes we talk about DEI and what weโ€™re talking about is the desegregation of an industry/company. So much of folks attaching DEI to everything, even an individual person of color, is their desire to segregate a space. We should call it that. These people are segregationists.

Thereโ€™s a naive belief that if only this [family] was better, then thereโ€™d be no need to individuate from it. Itโ€™s not true; thereโ€™s always a being that needs to become itself and come into accountability for itself. But the individuation process could be less threatening.

Yeah, I definitely feel this. Often it feels like people will cycle through different potential places to outsource their discernment (parents, religion, medicine, some framework, etc.), and process each disillusionment one by one like itโ€™s some unique thing, rather thanโ€ฆ

Iโ€™ve come to realize that building community as an adult involves a lot of skill and non-obvious technique, and if more people had this we might make a dent in the loneliness crisis. Should there be a handbook? Anyone want to write one with me?

Palestinians canโ€™t be murdered quickly enough with US weapons so the plan is to starve them to death. Over 1 million people. Nothing redeemable about Biden Admin, US govt or any entities enabling genocide. Just an empire being violent in its last days as it was in its first.

Gasp! Dare just broke 1 of the 2 cardinal rules of US government spending discourse! * Never question the astronomical spending on the police! Anything but that! * Never question the astronomical cost of housing inmates! The US only works if we pretend that jail is cheaper!

Absolutely wild to see people handwringing over this when every university in Gaza (along with so many libraries, museums, and archives) is in ruins

BREAKING: Palestine Action spray and slash a historic painting of Lord Balfour in Trinity College, University of Cambridge. Written in 1917, Balfourโ€™s declaration began the ethnic cleansing of Palestine by promising the land away โ€” which the British never had the right to do.

Calling for even more aggressive policing at a time when the police are killing people at record numbers is a major red flag for psychopathic, unhinged and murderous tendencies.

Community violence is down. *Police* violence is up. So naturally politicians from both parties are giving the police more money and power to use even more violence in response to a fake crime panic.

We cannot therapy ourselves out of societal and economic collapse. Thereโ€™s not enough therapy in the world thatโ€™ll help us deal with the rise of cost of living.

The state of the Union address is how people think elections work. The state of voter turnout is how they actually work. Today didn't change voter turnout, in swing districts, in swing states. So it changed nothing. Sick burns tho.

That tweet got me so pissed off, I can literally name 5 thing killing disabled people right now that are basically unmitigated: 1. COVID 2. Private equity in healthcare and disability services. 3. Caregiving shortage 4. Policing 5. Institutionalization

I donโ€™t care if you disagree. Public education should be federalized. Teachers should be federal union employees, schools should be centrally funded, standards should be high everywhere, and the fundamental injustice of education depending on your zip code should be ERADICATED!

No one tells you how much of adulthood is bribing yourself with a little treat in order to stave off psychosis.

I voted Ceasefire Now for the presidential primary. Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe it's stupid. But I can't vote *for* someone whose position on the brutal, unnecessary, inhumane, and completely disproportionate assault on Gaza is "ship guns to one side and food to the other."

The sooner you are able to move your focus from how you should feel, how you would feel, or how you could feel to how you actually do feel, the sooner youโ€™ll be able to feel something else.

Getting comfortable with the full weight of responsibility that comes with ownership of your own life and discernment is an important defense against those who offer to take it off of your hands for their own purposes.

Spiritual communities are very vulnerable to dark triad types because hurt people begging for a reason to live are, in some sense, asking to be manipulated, and eager to worship a savior figure

I really wish people would understand the history. This isn't the first time it happened. The last time wealth concentration/inequality was this bad (late 1800s Gilded Age) the capitalists did the same thing. And it worked until the Labor Movement fought back in the early 1900s.

You are not seeing an incidental market correction... we are witnessing the intentional disassembly of the fourth estate through unvarnished greed.
