I don't agree that the only thing the public wants is magical thinking. People want practical advice for questions that are hard to answer, and the medical community hides behind lack of RCTs or evidence as excuses for why they don't offer to help in these scenarios Doctors bow…

The Hubermans and Hymans of the world are taking over popular medicine. There’s no competing with someone that sells magical thinking, and the general public has no ability to assess the validity of their claims. EBM will always play from behind bc real biology is not as sexy.

The goal of healthcare is to be able to pursue your purpose, not to replace your purpose. Like wealth. People feel unsatisfied when pursuing wealth becomes the purpose. People also feel unsatisfied when pursuing health becomes the purpose.

this guy can't get IVs as good as ER nurses/docs. not impressed

physical therapy is one of the most underrated parts of our healthcare system. it can completely transform recovery from surgery, resolve pain that otherwise required massive amounts of medications, and give people a stronger mind-body connection that saves them from future probs

i love when i hear doctors complain about other doctors who are focusing on lifestyle medicine, calling them "sell outs" the lower risk and more lucrative thing for these lifestyle docs would be to continue collecting very generous paychecks continuing their status quo physician…
