Today in my home state of Texas 18 innocent students were killed while simply trying to get an education. A teacher killed doing her job; an invaluable yet sadly under appreciated job. If children aren’t safe at school where are they safe?
18 kids who said goodbye to their parents this morning not know that would be the last time they saw them. 18 kids who didn't get to go home and be tucked into bed tonight. 18 kids who never got to live their lives.
14 students killed in an elementary school shooting in Uvalde, a heavily Latino city in Texas. Border Patrol also on the scene. I pray for those parents fearing that their kids are dead and debating whether or not they'll be arrested if they go to find out.
this is NOT an immigration issue, this is a GUN issue. how was a 18 yr old high school student able to get a gun, walk onto an elementary school campus, and murder 20 ppl? the sad part is, is that this isn’t anything new. it was the 27th school shooting this yr alone.
‘oh it’s america what do you expect’, ‘it’s just another normal day’, ‘school shootings happen all the time’. going into a school and shooting INNOCENT children is never normal and should never be normalised.
some of you absolutely reek of privilege. that’s great that you don’t have to worry about being in a situation like this, but stop using tragedies as a way to praise your own country. have some kind of sympathy, they were children.
they were babies, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade. THOSE ARE THE BABIES YOU SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT. the ones that are scared because there’s people who have easy access to g*ns. NOT A FETUS. VOTE GREG ABBOTT OUT!!!!
